Any theory about human intelligence that ignores the independence between the hand and the cerebral function, its historical origins or the influence of this history in the dynamic of development of the modern human being is, in general terms, wrong and poor. The hand of the skilled man was more than an explorer or a discoverer of things in an objective world; it was also used to separate, to conjugate, to count, to dissect or to assemble. The hand of the skilled man could be loving, aggressive and playful. In the end, in the intimate contact of getting clean, the hand found the secret power of cure. Also, it could have been the instigator of the human language.
